Every neighborhood has one – the house that all the kids and adults gravitate t, where all the holiday and neighborhood parties are held. Our clients [let’s call them the “Johnson’s”] have the family of four boys, dog, a pool and theirs is the place to hang out. And of course, the kitchen is where everyone gathers. Their kitchen was small, inefficient and outdated.

Our goal was to give them a more efficient layout, a better traffic flow, more counter area and a big island to house the boys, their friends and space to entertain at. Our solution was to take down the wall between the seldom used dining room and change the footprint of the kitchen, adding valuable space.
The Johnson’s were thrilled with the end result! The huge island housed not only 6-8 people, but a beverage center to ease with the traffic congestion. A flat screen TV was housed about the stove so the guys could watch the game, and now there is lots of counter and prep space.
