Remodeling - Aging in Place

A recent study by the AARP revealed that the majority of Americans over the age of 45 prefer to remain in their own homes as they age. However, in order to “age-in-place”, most homeowners will need to make modifications to their homes to meet their changing needs, live comfortably, safely and independently.

Home modifications can range from simple modifications such as:
·        installing lever handles on sinks, bath and door handles
·        shower grab bars
·        comfort-height toilets
·        roll out shelves in kitchens
·        raised dishwashers, lowered cabinets
·        increased lighting

 to complex modifications such as:
·        creating a multi-functional first floor master suite
·         barrier free showers
·         first floor laundry rooms
·        installation of private elevators
