Beautiful Bathroom Remodel

We recently remodeled an outdated bathroom and it looks beautiful! Take a look at this bathroom's exciting transformation in these before and after photos.

BEFORE:

As you can see, the old bathroom was...well...old. It was in need of a good makeover and it got just what it needed.

AFTER:

The beautiful design and craftsmanship work of the Borchert staff is on full display in this newly remodeled bathroom. The old tub and shower were replaced with a gorgeous walk-in tile shower. The small cabinet was torn out to make way for the spacious new new ones. The quartz countertop and stone shower floor add a new dimension of beauty to the space. The tile floor ties the whole room together and makes the new cabinets and paint pop. The bathroom now feels way less cluttered and is now a beautiful focal point in this condo.

4 Common Design Mistakes

While probably the least costly part of a  project, the Designing phase of a Kitchen remodel is really the most important! When laying out your kitchen avoid these 4 common mistakes:

Too many upper cabinets.
Although great for dishes and spices, they're really too shallow for anything else. Using a few floor-to-ceiling cabinets instead makes more sense and allows for more windows. But don't place floor-to-ceiling cabinets in the middle of a bank of upper and lower cabinets-they should go at the ends.

Cluttered countertops.
Round up small appliances in garages, place them on roll-out drawers below the counter or store the things your don't use regularly in a pantry or cabinet.

Too much distance or not enough.
If there's more than 48 inches between the island and the sink or refrigerator, it starts to take more than a couple steps to go back and forth. Not allowing room for the dishwasher, refrigerator or oven doors to open and  people to pass is a bad layout, or if the dishwasher is being unloaded, the drawers or doors of the island can't be opened. Or worst of all, the refrigerator door is placed so it can't open all the way! (Yes, we've seen this done!)

Placing hot and cold appliances near each other
-you're just making them work harder.
