Cabinets: Do you really know what you're getting?

Can you tell a good cabinet from a junky one? While a cabinet may look beautiful on the outside, you need to know what the inside is made of. Is it a plywood box or is it particle board? You might have asked the question, "Is this a wood cabinet?" and gotten the answer "Yes" because technically, particle board is wood, shaved up pieces of wood glued together. Just be careful when you are making this major purchase, not every contractor or cabinet dealer is reputable. And, where was it made? Chinese cabinets are flooding our market and are full of chemicals that we don't allow in our processing methods.  You really need to know.
